Scanner is Locked
I managed to push the slider that locks the scanner on my Dell 1815n multifunction printer and cannot get the switch to return to the unlocked position. It is just stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
I do not have any information in my database or in the users manual on how to fixed the slider. The only thing I can suggest is to call support at 1-800-624-9896 and have them set up a repair for your.

this is a hardware problem and nothing can be done in this case other than you going for a new printer or dell wil replace the printer for you if it's covered under warranty and if not then a new printer

So you put a slide on your printer that locks the scanner and your only solution is for me to bu a new printer? One **bleep** of a way to sell lots of printers to bad it won't be one of yours. It was a perfectly good printer and now it is junk ? So why not take your junk and .........
