When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software (if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list
Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.
i need to insall drivers for my printer or whatever after reinstalling windows 7 on my pc. when i go to the install drivers page how do i know witch drivers to install, they always show several and it gets confusing trying to figure out witch ones. i'm not really bright when it comes to doing this stuff. thanks
no i didn't, the sales desk told me when all i needed was my usb reinstall kit and it would reinstall it, they didn't say anything about having to reinstall the drivers and chipsets, how do i fix it , thanks.
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).
Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.
Then, because of issues with Internet Explorer 11 and the Dell V Series printers...

Download and install in this exact order...
Intel Chipset ICH10R driver Vista/Win7 (32/64)
Realtek LAN Diagnostic Utility on Vista/windows 7 (32/64)
and/or
Realtek LAN Diagnostic Utility on Vista/windows 7 (32/64) (Not sure what the difference is)
Atheros Wireless 1525 WLAN Mini Card Desktops, v.8.0.0.376, A02
That should fix any network issues. For the printer...
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
