I don’t really know, I have heard different people prefer one over the other. You may want to try searching on the web for some comparative information.
If all Dell laser printers support PostScript 3, why does linux not appear as a supported OS for the P1500??
I really want to buy a P1500 for my daughter (cheap), but the absence of linux on the list of OSes for the P1500 and and the inclusion of linux on the OSes for all the other Dell printers makes me wonder....
If it is just a matter of not "officially" supporting linux, I'm fine with that - I'm a linux hacker.

hooknows,
Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
You can find information on Postscript at the following web address:
http://www.pcwebopedia.com/TERM/P/PostScript.html
All of the Dell Laser printers support Postscript 3.

Thanks, Stephen. Is PostScript better than PCL? If clarity of text and graphics is of highest importance, which setting would you choose?
Happy New Year!
