changed network, now cannot communicate with printer

Question

Okay, so this is kind of a strange thing. My husband moved out, and the cable was in his name, so he had it disconnected. Then I had my own cable hooked up. I had to install it all myself. I pretty much just unplugged all his stuff and plugged my stuff in. So I have a new modem that I get my internet from, but the same router. I was able to get online, but when I tried to print with my Dell v313w all in one, the print job went into queu, but it didn't print. I tried deleting the print job, but it refuses to quit. I looked at the network info on the printer itself, and it still shows that its on the old network. I don't know how to tell it to connect to the new network. The printer shows up as being on my network, and even being the default printer. I tried resetting the router, turning the printer off and on, everything I can think of with what I know. I can't delete the printer or uninstall the drivers to reinstall because it says the printer is in use, because there is a document in queue. I tried doing an ipconfig. The default gateway doesn't exist. Don't know how to get the printer off the old network onto the new network. So confused. Don't know who to ask or what to do.

I also wanted to say I ran the ipconfig, and it said that media was disconnected, and there was no default gateway. It wouldn't let me renew because it was disconnected.

I have a Dell v313w printer. Recently I had my old network turned off and is now hooked to a new modem with a new network name. I had tried to print something, but it just sat in the queu, and I tried to delete it, and now it just sits there saying its deleting for the last two days. I tried to delete the printer to reinstall it, but it says its in use, and won't let me. The network info on the printer itself says it still thinks it's on the old network. I'm not a huge techy, but do know my way around my computer a bit. I tried everything, I just want to get my printer to print.

I have Windows 7, Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. Hope to get help quick. I can't do any work until it is fixed.

Make sure you do NOT use the same SSID from the old network to the new network.

Run Delete Print Jobs to remove stuck print jobs from the queue, then restart your computer.

Make sure the printer is not usb cable connected.

Start, control panel, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer.

Make sure the printer was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

On the printer. Click on the maintenance wrench, scroll down and look for reset network adapter. Once the network adapter is reset, then insert the Dell Printer disk, choose new installation, network and follow the instructions.

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.
