laptop not connect to printer

Question

Inspiron 1750 laptop will not connect to new P513w wireless printer. Dimension 3000 desktop connected to my wireless network fine. Ran same printer software in laptop and gave printer IP address when asked,no connection. Laptop does not even see a printer installed. Any help appreciated.

I use Norton security. The file/printer sharing control is set to ON.
