printhead for Dell V515w
I received a message to replace my printhead on my Dell V515w all in one. Is it normal for the printhead to go out after a year or so? I cleaned it as required but, still get error message. Also my printer has been printing out big lines of color on photos and white lines. I looked up printheads on Dell website and cannot find them

It's not normal, but it will cost you as much or more to replace the printhead as it will to replace the printer.

That happened to me too. I took the printhead out washed it in Dawn dishwashing liquid gently. Rinsed it clean, wiped it down with alcohol after it dried and reinserted it. Almost as good s new. Clors are a litlle off when it prints.

It appears that Dell is aware of the problem with our v515w printer, and they are making no print heads nor are they making any consolations to those of us who are stuck with that printer.
I called and spoke to Dell's "outsourced overseas support", and they suggested that I just buy a new printer, because apparently there are no print heads available, and if they were available, the cost would be more than I paid for the printer to begin with.
I have a total of 5 pages that successfully printed on my vv515w that I was thrilled to get because it printed wireless, but in reality my 5 copies cost me a small fortune.
My suggestion is like the one my very wise boss gave me many years ago.
"DON'T GET MAD, GET EVEN!!!!!"
I still have my v515w, but all it does is collect dust.

skcherry353,
If you recently tried printing...
In the last batch of Windows Updates, Microsoft installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 had been causing printer problems.
Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there. If you have IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click on Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.
Restart the computer, when prompted. Then see if your printer works.
This printer was made for Dell by Lexmark and they got out of the printer business. I was told this is the Replacement Printhead if needed.
