I just updated to the 4.0 version of Mobile Connect a couple of days ago on an XPS laptop, and my CPU usage is also high (MC using around 33% of CPU resources). It's essentially unusable in this state.

Yeah it is completely unusable - it actually was even worse on my intel core i7 10 generation.  There is no reason that this program should take up that many resources.  Reinstalled 3.3 and it's using 0.2% of the processor.  What a mess......

It runs OK on my Vostro7500, but functionality is severely compromised.  Unlike the previous version (3.3), this version 4 does not alert me to new messages. I've set notification for Popups and sounds, but not joy.  It is running in the background. If I start it and minimize, I do see a numeric notification on the minimized application for new messages, but no sound.   By comparison, the older application worked just fine.

Yeah, I'm back using v3.3 (with no issues), hoping there will be a fix to the v4 software. That said, other than a cleaner look, I'm not sure what additional functionality comes with v4. It took away the labels on contacts with multiple phone numbers, so no way to tell which is the mobile # when texting -- fail.

Have there been any updates to the v4 software? Haven't seen anything, but...
