Cannot Get Dell Dock to Work

Hi.  I downloaded and installed Dell Dock on my Inspiron 1521 today, but when I try to run it I get this message: "In order to complete installation, the Dell Dock must be activated.  Please ensure you are connected to the internet and that the Dell Dock is not blocked by a firewall and try again.  No personal information is sent in the process."  I am not aware of any firewalls running on my system and I am connected to the internet.  What should I do?  Thanks in advance for your help.

This section is for Desktop issues.  Best to repost your Laptop problem in the Laptop section of the forum.

Sorry.  The new setup has me somewhat confused.  Is there a software section in the laptop forum?  This was the only general software section that I could find.
