DMX Runtime Error on Restart after DirectX 9.0C Update

After updating DirectX 9.0C End-User Runtime from the MS Windows Update site, after restart received the message: MS Visual C++ Runtime Library, Runtime Error, Program: C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe, Abnormal program termination.

Second restart did not resolve the problem. Cannot open DMX now.

Cannot uninstall DirectX 9.0C - it is one of the updates that can't be uninstalled.

Found DMX 2.2 Upgrade site, downloaded and installed PowerDVD update, but after try to download zip file for DMX 2.2, get error that it is a corrupt zip archive. Where can I receive the valid DMX 2.2 upgrade and do you think this will solve the runtime error from DirectX update?

Update. Restarted after the Power DVD update had been applied. Now, no longer receive the DMX Runtime error on restart. Can open DMX, can move around in menus, not sure if its working 100% though. Went to Extras, clicked on Update link, it downloaded a patch to 2.2 from cyberlink site which was different from the link that had the corrupt zip file. This successfully installed.

Ran Windows Update again to see if DirectX is detected as not installed. It is not. Not sure if DirectX will work now, seems to be some conflicts between these apps.

Please advise if you have had similar experience/problem. Thanks.
