Dell Data Safe Local Backup

My desktop computer is a Dell, Inspiron AIO 19, running Windows 7, 64-bit Operating System.

Due to problems with it this year, I had to reinstall Windows from the discs supplied, resulting in the deletion of the Dell Data Safe Local Backup.

Whenever I try to reinstall Dell Data safe Local Backup or Backup and Recovery Application, I receive this message, as per attached picture.

Yet, I cannot see this program among the Dell programs, as per attached picture.

Can some one help me reinstalling it? It is not included in the installation discs.

Thanks.

Thanks for your help and support. I have read the article and found it extremely useful, have followed its instructions. One issue has been resolved.

Re/ Dell Backup and Recovery I canot find it in my computer. The accompanying image says so. Yet, when trying to install Backup and Recovery downloaded from Dell site, I keep receiving the same message, as per second picture attached.

So where is hidden this file?

But your have helped me and I appreciate it.

By the way. My McAfee antivirus does not detect any infection, and everything else works fine on my computer.

Don't waste your time diagnosing this issue especially when you have already got working recovery media.

Proceed with the instructions here to upgrade your system to Windows 10 and then Clean Reinstall Windows 10:

Thank you for your advice and help. I've been thinking along these lines, given that my computer works fine and I do not see any viruses.

As for upgrading to Windows 10, I cannot go ahead, even though I had reserved it. Dell web page for this model says:

Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade

Dell has not confirmed that this product can upgrade to Windows 10. Some drivers, firmware, applications, and connected devices may not work as you would expect.

So I'll have to wait for the time being.

Thanks, Natakuc 4

Don't hold your breath waiting for Dell to support Windows 10 on this model, if it came with Dell DataSafe Local Backup its likely 1 2009-2010 model and all of these are out of warranty. Dell will not test this model and will not provide updated system drivers.

Most Dells from 2008-2012 will work fine with Windows 10 and have all the system drivers inbuilt or obtained via Windows Update. I have upgraded a Latitude D820, E5510 and an XPS 8300 successfully and Dell won't support any of these.

Since you are out of warranty support from Dell will be limited. Its better for you to take the free upgrade to Windows 10.
