Dell DataSafe Local Backup Files Recovery

After getting the blue screen of death a few times, I was told by Dell technician to back up and restore to factory settings.  I used Dell Data Safe Local Backup to back up before erasing the hard drive.  I have not purchased the premium version and was using the basic.  After erasing the hard drive, I restored, but do not see any personal files.  I am worried that all my personal files have not been backed up!  Having looked in more detail at the description of basic capabilities, I see that "File & Folder back up" does not have a check next to it for the Basic version... does this mean that I did not back up my personal files and they are lost??

Ready for the worst.

I believe I have the default basic version, but it gave me options to select which folders and files I wanted to back up during a recovery process.

Naturally, I assumed it was backing the data up, but now I can't find any of the files or folders I chose. What happened to them? Did the software create a hidden partition for my files?
