Error: 1402
I have windows xp, I have recently had to reformat my computer because of incompatabilities with service pack 2. When I try to install the Dell support alerts cd, I get an Error: 1402 Could not open key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DELL\SUPPORT\2.0\MODULES, verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personel.
I done some research on this and I find nothing, there are solutions for windows ME, 95/98, but none listed for windows xp. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions on what could be causing this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Dell Support does not work when it is installed. If you are encountering difficulty installing it, don't bother to pursue the installation.
