Error 2762 when installing Mydell
Dear Dell community,
I did a fresh Windows 11 install with Dell Recovery Assistant. However, installing the latest version of Mydell fails with the following error message:
Package Dell Core Services Error:
Error 2762. Cannot write script record. Transaction not started.

I have also the same problem and I wasted a lot of hours and days to try install the newest version of My Dell. I was inform tech support about this bug in March when update arrived and we have now july and nothing changed !! Support is very poor...

Follow-up report.
Mydell was running on the old version immediately after installation, but today I checked it and the same symptoms still occur.
That is, mydell is listed in "Installed applications" but when I press the windows key and try to run it from "All apps", mydell is not in the "m" category.
In conclusion, I tried to update to the latest version of mydell from the older version and was successful.
As before, I cannot isolate the problem, but I will provide some information on the successful installation.
PC info: Inspiron 5330 windows 11 pro (clean install performed)
Latest version: 3.0.412.2, A00
Older version: 3.0.382.1, A00
1) Bit locker is ON (different from last time)
2) Attempted to repair with the older version before installing the latest version.
Repair was indicated as successful, but the symptoms remained the same.
3) Before installing the latest version, the existence of the Dell Optimizer service was confirmed.
→It seems to be installed together with mydell installation.
The following installation of the latest version was performed after uninstallation of Dell Optimizer service.
4) Installed the latest version of mydell without uninstalling the old version of mydell.
5) Successfully installed the newest version of mydell and it is listed in the "m" category of "All Apps". Successfully executed.
Remarks:
It is unclear what caused the trouble with the older version.
I have not installed any drivers manually. (or caused by windows update?)
Installation is not working but the update is OK?

Installing the old version helps. The only annoying part was that I had to uninstall all other dell apps as the installer complained I had a newver version of something already. In practice it installed "Dell Optimizer Service" together with "MyDell" so uninstally that one could have been sufficient (possibly). It's a shame Dell having such obivous issues with their software.

This is just nonsense. I have never spent this much time trying to install Dell app before. Is there a possibility to return it to the factory settings? I mean returning from the hdd partition to factory state . I tried it several times but every time it asked me for internet and the original dell applications were not restored
My old computer store the original software on the disk. And it could return to factory condition very quickly
My new XPS 13 plus is currently used to practice reinstallation and heating
