How to change the cursor size/thickness in Word

How do I increase the size/thickness of the cursor in MS Word?  MS Word has a very small blinking bar identifing where the cursor is, can I make it bolder/larger? I'm not talking about the cursor arrow, just the point where the next letter in a doc will be typed. it's so thin it's hard to spot.

Thanks,

MJ

I know of no way to change the insertion point size. You can change the blink rate through Control Panel, though it may not help you see it any better.

If you increase the size of the document (i.e. magnification), the cursor gets bigger.
