Java software issues

When I click on my Java icon(which is now just a blank white square) in my control panel it states Application not found. Then when I go to unistall all java updates it tells me there is an error in the DDL and to contact my administrator of my computer. I can't play my pogo games and it will not allow me to play WoW since I can't download the updates for the game which require Java. I really don't know what else to do. Can anyone help?
