Loading software
Can anyone help me please. I have just taken delivery of a new Inspiron 545. Presently I am tring to load my copy of Serif Pageplus X2. It is Vista compatable, howver, each time I try loading it the following message appears.
"The installation for Serif Pageplus X2 is unable to begin due to an existing unfulfilled system reboot request being detected please reboot computer and restart installation"
Reboot I have. Solved the problem I have not. Equally I have updated all possible software to no avail. I require serif for my business hence the listing on the forum.
My copy of Microsoft office loaded with no problems.
Any ideas ?

Hi Jack. Just seen your post. I had the identical problem tonight which drove me crackers. Eventually came across this web page which discussed the problem and suggested an answer.

I tried it and it worked perfectly. PagePlus X2 is now installed fully on my PC. You simply need to download a fix called FRFix.exe to your desktop, unzip it and run it. Then run setup on PagePlusX2 and when it is finished installing (which it will) close the FRFix program. It is very important that you don't close it until PPX2 has finished installing. It worked a dream for me, hope you have as much luck.
