Microsoft Office 2003/Norton Anti-Virus 2006

I'm running Office XP on my new Dell E-510.  I installed Microsoft Office 2003 Suite.  With all of the application, I recieve the message "Norton Anti-Virus does not support the repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall".  I have unistalled and reinstalled several times, but this message will pop up about three times before it finally goes away until you open another application.  It is annoying.  How can I fix this for good?

You're running Office XP and then you added Office 2003?  Running both?  Why?

What version of NAV are you running?

I meant to say that I am running Operating System XP.  I did not have any Microsoft Office Suite at all when I purchased my new Dell.  I purchased Microsoft Office 2003 just after I set up my Dell E510.  It installed rather well, except for the irrating message from Norton that "Norton Anti-Virus does not support the repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall".  I'm just wondering how I can stop that message from popping up.  It pops up about three times everytime you open up a Microsoft Office application.  After the third time, it doesn't come back until you open an application up again.

I finally resolved this issue, but not without great pains.  I was directed to Symantec Technicians which worked feverishly to help me resolve this problem.  We went back and forth for days creating new files, downloading autofix tools, and other utitlities that was suppose to fix the issue.  Finally the Symantec fellow told me to remove all Symantec programs and reinstall.  I was quite concerned because in the past I had issues with Norton software.  I e-mailed with fears that I would lose my subscription once again and I was assured I would not.  I uninstalled all of Symantec and went to the provided download site that I would not have problems with.  Lo and behold Symantec did not recognize my e-mail address or my subscription serial number.  Without a doubt these number and e-mail address were correct, I've had the e-mail address for seven years.  I purchased new software, Norton 2006, installed it on my computer, because at this point I had no protection at all.  The software installed without any issues.  I run Live Update, which with my connection run for several hours.  Once it was updated all my issues were resolved.  The lesson I've learned is not to trust downloads wholely!  When I purchase software, it will be with the disc.  Clearly, the issues were not with my computer, a conflict of software installed on my computer, it was a bad download that cost $79.95 of which I lost.  I do not have any of those pesky error windows and life is great!
