No PowerDVD installed
Just bought a 3010 Desktop from Outlet UK with W7 32bit installed. Had a E6510 Latitude Laptop also with W7 32bit from Dell just over 2 years ago as replacement for a D820 with Nvidia problems, this had PowerDVD DX installed which I understand is a Dell standard - but it's not on the 3010 DT. Both classed as business machines with standard basic 3-year warranty.
Does any body know if lack of PowerDVD is a policy change by Dell or is it a case of contacting them for a download?
ps unlike many people talking about Dell on these forums I genuinely find their service to be excellent compared to others I have encountered

Hi anorak47,
OptiPlex 3010 DT does not include Power DVD, as it is not provided during the customization in the UK. You will need to purchase the software separately. Please visit the following link for further information:

Hi Rajath N, thanks for your help, free 'VLC Media' seems to work OK for information of anybody else who encounters the same problem
