Outlook 2003 - Size Limit for Attachments
I attempted to send a large attachment using Outlook 2003. The email is stuck in my Outbox now, and will not send - although it is attempting to. If I try to open the email, I get an error message saying "Can't open this item. Outlook is sending this message". I also have tried to delete the message, but it will not let me.
Does anyone have any hints on how to delete this message? Also, is there a size limit for attachments that I have exceeded?
Thanks for your help

In most cases, the sending size limit is determined by your ISP. Many ISP's limit outgoing e-mails to 1 Mb or less, some 2Mb, etc.
You will probably have to delete the message, in the outbox. Determine what the ISP's size limit is and what the addressee's receive max bytes are too, you could have, for example, a 5 Mb file to send and your ISP may allow 5 Mb but the addressee's ISP may limit their inbox to 1Mb, 2Mb, etc and if you send them a 5 Mb file it could be rejected or just dumped.
You can break large files into smaller sections. There is an option in your Account properties, Advanced, "Sending". It allows you to set the max size and will automatically break larger files into smaller files. The addressee, when they receive all of the file (messages) will be able to assemble the file back to it's original size.
