Purchasing Dell Migrate

Hi,

When I attempt to purchase Dell Migrate the prompt states: "For existing Dell PCs: Click the Buy Online button below and enter your service tag number."

When I click "Buy Online", it takes me to the Dell Support Page. I type in my service tag number, and there is no option for me to buy Dell Migrate. What should I do?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Same problem - the link never takes you to a page where you can purchase.

This is still happening. I'm not able to buy it. After putting in my service tag in, it takes me to the product support instead of any buy options. Am I missing something? I have Dell Data assist downloaded on both old and new computer and I need to get this purchased before I can continue.

Same problem.  It's an endless loop of nonsense. I wasted over an hour getting passed from one Dell support person to another and they just would not listen or understand what I was telling them.  I just gave up and am going to transfer files manually while holding a grudge against Dell for wasting my time.

What is the Dell computer model and operating system of the system you are trying to transfer data to, and does this new Dell computer have the latest SupportAssist 3.14.2 installed?

This topic is three years old and SupportAssist v3.x is no longer installed on my Inspiron 5584, but if I recall Dell Migrate is now built in to SupportAssist.  See the section titled "Dell Migrate Overview" <here> in the SupportAssist v3.14.2 release notes as well as the Dell Migrate User's Guide.

I did not use Dell Migrate to transfer my personal files to my Inspiron 5584 when I purchased this laptop in 2019 (I just copied my data over from an external backup drive) so I doubt I'll be able to assist with troubleshooting if that documentation doesn't help.
