Reinstall Works Suite -Word 2002 Product Key

Question

I have just reinstalled Works Suite 2002, including Word 2002. However, now I cannot open Word without providing a Product Key. When the preinstalled program came with the computer, I did not have this problem.

I did not receive a product key with the Works Suite disks that accompanied the computer.

Please advise.

I am very sorry for the original posting for this item. I have located the box in which the Works Suite 2002 programs were shipped and the Product Key was identified on the back of it. The Word 2002 program was activiated successfully with this key and is functional.

On the side or back of the computer system, there is a sticker with the Works Suite Product Key, it is not the same as the product key for the operating system of your computer, which that one is usually by the service tag number, there should be a second sticker with the product key you seek. You should be able to find it. I hope you can resolve this issue.

I am having the same problem, but i can't find another sticker on my computer there is only one that say's microsoft and i has a 25 digit letter number combination but it won't work. Any Help??

If you can't find the Product Key on the packaging that the CD's came in, you would need to contact our Technical Support group for assistance. You can go to http://support.dell.com and choose the method of support that best suits your needs.

I am having a similar problem. Word 2002 was slow so I thought I would remove Word2002 and Works suite 2002 and them add them back. Everything seemed to load back fine but when I went to activate word 2002 I received a message that it had already been activated, yet I cannot find Word anywhere and text files only open up with wordpad. Other elements of Works Suite 2002 seem to be working fine, only Word seems to be missing
