Hi,

I can't help with the CD's title, but what I know from FULLFILE vs STANDARD is that FULLFILE will not ask you to insert your original Office XP CD during the installation as STANDARD will. FULLFILE also has a much larger file size than STANDARD.

So, if you have your original Office XP CD, either will be fine. And thinking about it (but you may verify that) I'm pretty sure that Office's SP3 is not "version dependant" as to Professional, Standard or Small Business...

Regards,

Rick

Well, that's only sometimes true.  I ordered the MS Office SP CD and have tried to use the Full Installation but it continues to ask for the original Installation CDs.  Then it can't find the Pro.MSI and Pub.MSI installation files.  WHen I check the CD it has PRORET.MSI and PUBRET.MSI files.  Nobody seems to be able to tell me why the files names are different.

Dell support tells me I have to purchase a new copy of Office.  I'm really torqued about this since I accepted the PC (Inspiron 8100) with WIndows 2000 and Office installed.  Dell provided a no charge update to WIndows XP Pro and an accompanying Office XP Pro CD set.

I wonder if this is a common experience?
