Simple (?) Quattro Pro question

This should be easy but, after several hours of Googling, I'm lost....

On my last Dell (Win98) I created spreadsheets which have the extension .wp3.  I have NO idea what version of Quattro Pro I was using.

On this new one (WinXP) I am told the installed software is "Worksuite 2004" (whatever that is).

My .wp3 spreadsheets will not open with this software.  The only thing I can find on the internet about converting .wp3 files is a program that converts them to be read in Excel (which I don't have, do I??)

So, questions are:
1) What, exactly *is* "Worksuite 2004"?
2) Is there any way to convert my .wp3 files into a format that can be opened by Worksuite 2004's spreadsheet program?
and/or
3) Will installing Corel's Quattro Pro conflict with my already installed software?

Thanks for any info.

Here is the link to the Microsoft site for the WorksSuite.  http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=001

Basically, Worksuite is MS Works plus MS Word and several other applications.  The MS Works programs include limited/basic spreadsheet and database programs.  They are not the full feature programs such as the Microsoft Office Excel or Access.  In the business world, the MS Office applications are most often used and basically the "standard" for office environments (there are other applications used but MS Office applications are found at most places).

I can't answer your question about the Quattro file or the compatibility between Quattro and MS Office applications.  I went through this with Harvard Gaphics files, trying to convert them into something compatible, unfortunately I didn't have any luck with files I had.  Good luck with yours.
