XPS 420 Photoshop Elements 6
I cannot get Photoshop Elements 6 to run. I had this problem before, and found a way to fix it, but had to do a factory restore recently. After the restore to factory settings PS Elements wouldn't run, nor would Soundbooth, but Premiere Elements started up for some reason. PS Elements shows up in processes as if it's running. Things I've already tried:
Uninstalling and then following all of Adobes instructions to remove everything
Reinstalling from discs - didn't work
Reinstalling as Adminstrator - didn't work
Running as Administrator - didn't work
Running in XP Compatibilty - didn't work
Visiting Adobe for updates - none. Dell for updates - none. Searched the forums and while there's some related issues and some fixes for others, nothing worked for me.
If I recall correctly, I had it working before by replacing a file, and I think it was a licensing file for Acrobat based on all the support I read, but that didn't work this time.
I don't want to call support as their "solution" for my PowerDVD issue was to wait for Windows 7, lol, or pay to have someone esle factory re-install everything.
Any help out there?
