dell datasafe local backup premium edition
I use dell datasafe local backup premium edition to create my system backups. I created a working directory where I store ALL my activities, pictures, downloads, spreadsheets, movies, etc. I manually backup up on a regular basis using a dos batch file any changes and/or additions to this directory. It is very very fast. This directory is very large and does not need to be included in my system backup.
I found one place that says that I can exclude file types. This is okay to exclude some non system type files like excel, word, etc. But if I include jpeg for example which is the largest component in my directory, it also excludes jpegs in all other locations in the system which I do not want to exclude. Plus there are lots of different file types in my directory that I don't want to spend time listing and causing the same problem as jpegs.
Question: is there a way that instead of excluding file types I can exclude one or more directories?
dell datasafe version 9.4.60

Dell DataSafe is obsolete, update to the latest version of Dell Backup and Recovery which supersedes it:
