error 1706 when trying to repair Business Contact Manager in Office 2007

After a system restore (made dumb mistake which required SR :) part of (or maybe all) of the Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 is apparently missing. When using the CD, win installer cannot find launch file... or does not recognize file...

Also when opening other Office apps like Excel or PP or even Word, dialog box comes up - "the feature you are looking for is located on a removable... CD; Insert and click Yes..."

Anyone else come across this situation?

Actually Office cam pre-installed with new XPS. So, I guess what is happening is that my CD that was included for reinstalls is not recognized by installer since it has a different signature vs. the Dell pre-install...

Thanks for your input, I appreciate response.

I have the same problem.  I have tried to get help from MS.  They say go to Dell.  Dell says go to MS.  Here is my problem:  Every time I open a Microsoft Office component I get the message below.

Here is the background:  Business Contact Manager interfered with Outlook to the extent Outlook would not work at all.  I followed the directions in the help file and removed the Business Contact Manager application.  I even deleted the whole Office file and reinstalled it.  I tried to reinstall the BCM file but it would not reinstall Only the Office Accounting application would install.  I finally got Outlook to work by going back to a previous day's restore point.  I do not want Business Outlook Manager.  I just want to stop it trying to load every time I open an Office application.  I have tried disabling BCM as described in the help file too.  That got rid of the data files, but the error messages keep coming.  I have downloaded SP1 for the Office Suite, but I do not have a SP1 Disk.  First message: Business Contact Mgr for Outlook 2007 SP1 "Please wait while Windows configures Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 SP1.  Second message is:  "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable Disk that is not available.  Insert Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 SP1 disk and click OK."  Use box says source is "1."  Third message is:  "Error 1706.  No valid source could be found for product Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 SP1.  The Window Installer cannot continue."  How do I get rid of these messages?
