updating FrontPage 2000 to work with Windows XP

I run windows xp home edition. Today I installed my old FrontPage 2000 program which may require or benefit from an upgrade. I was unable to find any such upgrade in my web searches. Will I have to start over w/ buying the full FrontPage 2003 program? or do you know how to upgrade the v. 2000? Thanks for your suggestions....

I have FP2000 installed on a Windows XP (Pro) machine.  No problems at all, either installing the program, running it or getting updates from the MS Office Updated site.

I recently (early December) did a "clean" install and my Windows XP installation CD has the SP2 slipstreamed (incorporated into the installation CD).  I then installed MS Office 2000 Professional and then FP2000 (the version I have, the FP2000 is a separate product).  I then went to the MS Office Update site, let the site do a search for updates for my system.  Downloaded all the updates and all Office applications, including FP2000 are working.

There are updates on the MS Office site, but there are no free upgrades.

FrontPage 2000 and FrontPage 2003 are two very different versions.  The 2003 version is much more like Dreamweaver and allows you full view of your server (like WS FTP) when you upload, among other features.  It does take a lot of getting used to.   If you are comfortable with FrontPage 2000, I would stick with that.  I use Front Page 2000 on a Win XP system with SP2 installed, and it runs just fine.  I also run the 2003 version on a different Win XP system with SP2 with no problems.  But, the two different versions behave very differently when you are formatting certain options.  FP 2003 is a lot more versatile and I like it, but be aware it does take time to figure it all out.
