windows media player warning of high CPU usage

Question

I am using a Dell XPS 15 labtop, and keep getting warnings that my CPU usage in :Wmpconfig.exe is high.

I also get the same warning when i am using my music editing software, Protools 10 to process audio data. I have a couple of other media programs installed on my computer like the Adobe Master Collection Suite and Cubase 5 music recording software, Norton 360 Premier antivirus software.

Que: May anyone help me to solve the high CPU usage by my windows media player

the specs of the computer are: Intel core i7, 1,73 GHz (CPU),

Cores: 4

Threads: 8

System memory, 6GB. maximum support 8GB

Hard drive memory is 700GB

Welcome to the Community.

I understand your concern. I see that your windows media player is having high CPU usage”. Normally this occurs if there is a Low disk space, Os corrupt, infected computer.
