writing letters and numbers using dots or dashes

I am trying to teach my child how to write letters of the alphabet by typing them in Microsoft word using dots or dashes and then print them so that she can trace and learn. where do I find this font style to write with it.

I don't know of any font that is a dot-dash appearance. You could try an Arial font, then Format, Font and choose Outline. Your daughter could write the letters by using the outline.
