It won't be a treat for anyone to read because apparently you will have to save them in unformatted files (comma-delimited or tab-delimited). See
this.
Not necessarily, for example if the user has Excel, that would open a tab or comma delimited text file, but probaly not a Works file. I think the same applies for other spreadsheet software.

wait, can I turn these into images? Denny the first reply you sent I read all the formats a works spreadsheet I can save to. can I save these to images or is there another way to go about it?
cool, just for the record i will take my microsoft works spreadsheets, turn them into images and burn them to a cd to give to others to view. good? Now what image format is going to be the most common one, pdf, jpg and so on?
I don't know if this plan will work but I will play with it. What I have is 13 folders for each month. In each folder has 4 individual works spreadsheets for each week and then a monthly summary spreadsheet. I need the people to be able to open the month they want to see then open and veiw the week they are looking for information on. they won't have to make any changes just veiw .but it would be nice to burn so its set up the same way. click the month then the week(spreadsheet) and veiw the jobs and time done that week. Thats my goal, just need to learn the best way so I'm not spending weeks finding the right route. What would you do?
Either .gif or .jpg will work fine. You won't "save them" as images from within Works. You must save them as screen captures, one screen at a time. See
this.

That would make the information accessible to anyone who might need to take a look at it.
