This is a question, not a reply.
A teaching colleague and I have a similar problem with our Dell projectors--mine is a 2300MP and his is (I believe) a 220MP. We bought them with our money but use them extensively in the classroom. Several weeks ago my lamp went out. His had been out for some time, so we ordered replacement lamps.

When we replaced our lamps, everything seemed fine for a short time (five or 10 minutes), but then the projector image shut down and we couldn't do anything with our projectors--there is nothing showing, but the fans continue running until we unplug them. It seems like too much of a coincidence that both of us should have the same problem after buying replacement lamps.

Now that we're finally out of school, I'm getting around to dealing with it. I see that a Dell moderator says "Get that replaced." Get what replaced? Are you saying to replace the brand new lamp, the projector, or what? Obviously I don't want to buy a new projector every time a lamp goes out. HELP!!! Please? I either need to return the lamps and get my money back so that we can buy new projectors, or I need to know how to fix this problem. My projector is an important teaching tool.
