3300mp Projector DVI input not DHCP compliant? !

I read here that the 4400mp m1a-DVI digitial input port is not HDCP compliant. This might limit the use of this projector with a DVI cable and anything other than a PC (eg. Bravo or Samsung and other DVI output DVD players that can upsample DVDs native 480p resolution.)

Can anyone confirm this? As only the Bravo D1 DVD player (or a PC/laptop) does not enforce DHCP, it may be the only model that will work with the Dell 3300mp and a DVI cable for delivery of digital signal at 720p directly to the projector.

(Anyone try this? Works with a PC, but what about a digital connection to one of these DVI output DVD players?)

Dell has told me that the DVI inputs are not HDCP compliant. I also went to the HDCP website and they are not even licencees of HDCP.

I use my 3300 project connected to the new Samsung SIR-Ts360 (DirectTV HD receiver) which has a DVI that is HDCP compliant via a m1a to DVI adapter and I have no problems. Until DirecTV turns on the copy right protection it will work just fine and Boy, the picture is sweeeeeeet.

But many upconvertor dvd player manufactures(Samsung LG momitsu Bravo etc) claims that picture will be snowy if your display device(projector in this case) is not HDCP compliant

Is that true, has anyone tried this
