Pink Image with 3200MP

Question

I have a 3200MP that is not used often but is great!  This time my image appears with a pink cast.  The start up logo appears clear with blue and white but the PC image has distorted colors best described by pink where I see whites.  No lamp light is going on.  Any thoughts?  Cable does not appear to be missing any pins.  Thanks!

Dear Moderator,   You have asked how the projector is 'hooked up'. It has its power cable connector connected, and it has the MI connector lead to a Latitude laptop (including the USB connection). The laptop was only powered up once the Dell white screen showed 'connection loss' icon and words. This lead was removed (to see if the warming up phase would complete, and reconnected. The remote was also tried, but total lock-up remains.

Someone else seemed to pick up this thread and reply to you.  my (EKM's) reply for hook up is as follows.  Simple connection of laptop to projector using Dell included cable (which does not seem to be a standard projector cable I am told).  Connects to both USB and monitor ports on back of laptop and into large connection in back of projector.  Same connections and laptop used for history of projector without problems.

My Dell 3200MP is now having a pink tint screen.  We have had this projector for several years but the pink tine just started a couple of months ago.  I have checked the cable by using a cable from another projector.  I also tried changing the setting on the projector and the laptop.  Is there a 'fix' for this problem?  Thanks.

Has there been a fix found for this yet?

I recently had to replace my color wheel and now I am experiencing the pink instead of white issue. I tried it on my Inspiron 1520, and my HP desktop with no change.

So I took my projector apart and blew it out and now instead of a pink tint, I'm getting a green tint.

White boot screen and blue searching for signal screen are normal. Only changes once it finds a signal. Source found Info in lower corner remains pure white while rest of screen tints green.

Losing my faith in dell products.
