After looking at a lot of home theatre forum message boards, we used Behr Ultra Pure White, Flat; and it worked well. But we replaced the painted wall with an 80" x 60' high contrast matte white da-lite pull down screen. SEE: http://www.mountsandmore.com/asp/show_detail_2.asp?sku=DL1390&catid2=931
Hey I have the same Projector and I use a 72" Vinyl roll down blind purchased from Walmart $70 canadian Its the kind people use for sleeping in the daytime it is impervious to light and is almost perfectly white.I t gives me a 7ft diagonal picture in my living room.I have been enjoying it for a year now. Walmart also have mounting hardware.
This looks like the answer I have been looking for even before I asked the question. A white wall seemed fine, but it appears a white pulldown shade might even be better.
