Hello,
You've tried almost every step that can be tried. I understand you have access to iDRAC. Assuming you have access to the LifeCycle Controller, you can also try this step. First of all, if you are next to the server, drain flea power can be a good basic start when server is suitable to be closed.  The normal update procedure would be to start with BIOS, then iDrac, then LCC. Can you check BIOS is up to date? If you still cannot update it later, you can try to reset iDRAC and LC settings by repurpose operation via LCC.
The system settings will return to default. (iDRAC user information, IP addresses, this process clears LC logs and history of all change events, firmware updates and user comments.) if you do this remotely, you will lose your iDRAC connection so do this locally.
Boot into the LifeCycle Controller (LCC) using F10 key during POST. Go to Hardware Configuration -> Repurpose or Retire the System and then select all the features you would like to delete or wipe off the system. This will restore the system to factory default.
If you can't access LCC you can try NVRAM_CLR via jumper.
If still problem persists then we can suspect hardware issue.
Let us know if it helps.

Hello,

Please perform a reset of the iDrac controller, and after this retry the FW upgrade again.

Somebody found solution to this? Because we have exactly the same problem with exactly same version of iDrac FW.

Yes. We did all this. Also like singheshraj - all of them.

Hi,

Did I understand you correctly that you also have the same symptoms and the same options to have a working workaround?

Did you also try the steps that Erman provided?

Please give me a detailed description of your Problem because if only 1 Point is different then everything changes.

Regards Martin

Hi Martin,

We did all the steps  singheshraj did (except we didnt lowered until ver. 2.10. Lowest was 2.21.21), as well as all steps recommended by Erman. Rollback to older version is not possible, because no older versions avaliable on this machine. In 'Job Queue' we receiving two type of error messages for failed installation (no any error records in any of logs):

Start Time: Not Applicable
Expiration Time: Not Applicable
Message: RED004: Job failed.

and

Start Time: Not Applicable
Expiration Time: Not Applicable
Message: RED009: Lifecycle Controller is not present.

However we can enter LC, it is present, enabled and works.

Current verions 2.02.01.01.

All other firmware is updated without any single problem.

Just curious, when you look in the idrac System Inventory, does it show the same version for idrac and the Lifecycle controller, similar to this:

Both iDRAC and Lifecycle controller share same FW from 2.00.00.00 onwards, hence both will have same version.

Hi,

Sorry for long delay. Had to take server from production. Now can work with it without limitations.

None of versions you provided can't be installed. Everything end with same error message: RED009: Lifecycle Controller is not present.
