PE 1950 Rails Kit

Hi,

I have a PE 1950 and I need to purchase a Rails kit for it. I'm wondering what kit I need to purchase?

In particular will either of these kits work:

Dell Poweredge 1650 1750 2 post Rack Mount Kit

or the Dell PowerEdge PE Versa V-Rail Rack Kit 0T514 1U V2 SL #0D7896

There are no other rail kits that are compatible with the PE1950 except the one designed for it. The PE1650 and PE1750 rail kits will not work. What kind of rack do you have?

what is the design issue that makes them not compatable? Is is just a case of the holes not lining up? Or is it something like a weight issue (ie 1950 much heavier than 1650)?

I ask because i can get rails for the 1650 for about 1/10th the cost of the 1950 rails and further I am a plastics engineer and I make things like these rails all the time, so it wouldn't be a big issue for me to make small modifications like making the holes work and that sort of thing.

The shoulder screws have been moved which prevent you from using anything but the PE1950 rail kit.
