Poweredge T410 HDD to SSD upgrade

We currently have a T410 with 6 drive bays and they do in fact have the SAS port for the bays. My question is is it possible to just replace those drives with SSDs without any kind of adapter since SSDs generally come in SATA not SAS connectors?

I hope that makes sense.

Hello.

SSDs are supported on this server and yes you can. However, SSDs may require the PERC 6/i Integrated storage controller and other hardware based controllers

I have a PowerEdge T410 server, with a PERC 6 / i SAS controller. Also I want to put an SSD, my question is if this controller supports the SSD and I will have a noticeable increase in performance?
