Upgraded RecoverPoint from 3.5 to 4.1 now seems to have large amount of UDP traffic
The network group is seeing the WAN getting hammered by a large amount of UDP traffic that coincides with the upgrade of RecoverPoint. It looks like RecoverPoint went from TCPIP to UDP. Is there a setting I missed or has to be changed to start using TCPIP again? I would think RecoverPoint would like the checks that are in TCPIP vs UDP.

I pieced together what I need to do:
Disable EWOC by setting tweak (tweak.params.replication)t_disableWANOptimizations to true via boxmgmt: Login as boxmgmt via ssh using putty: Setup Advanced options Appliance config params Change appliance config param value Enter tweak_param name: t_dis...
This is easy enough to do.
Thanx

I do have online support. Is there a doc for doing this?

Anything about disabling EWOC is access denied. Figures.

Yes, there is. You need to disable the non-authenticated default replication module, referred to as EWOC (UDP) and return it to MPI (TCP). You can disable this via a tweak on each RPA. Do you have access to EMC Online Support?

In the event that you don't here is the procedure for disabling EWOC and reverting to MPI.
Change the tweak value of t_disableWANOptimizations to true on ALL RPAs in cluster/system.
** Main Menu **
[2] Setup
[8] Advanced options
[3] Appliance config params
[3] Change appliance config param value
Enter tweak_param value: true

Changed all RPAs. Hopefully that will work.
