UnPackContainer output question....
I recently ran UnPackContainer against a number of EMX files and have a question about the output.
There is a "Number of Deleted Messages:" listed - but I don't know if that is the number of messages deleted from that particular EMX archive or if it is how many of those archived messages have been deleted from the Exchange Server.
Does anyone know how that number is derived? I've looked all over the place and can't find a description of the output.
Thanks in advance!

If unpaackContainer is showing deleted counts then messages are still in EMX file but flagged as deleted. Reason for deletion could be anything from an Admin deleting it or message that was corrupt when it was packaged.
Thanks,

Greetings,
UnpackContainer output is only relevant to the EMX file against which you are running it. These messages could have been deleted using Admin Search or manually.

Those are the number of the messages that have been flagged as deleted in the EMX file.

Gary
So they are "flagged" as deleted, but are still included in the EMX file?
Thanks - just trying to get a definitive answer so I know what data is being presented.

Would someone be able to provide a copy of the unpackcontainer utility for download?

You should open a request to SourceOne support to have them get you the most appropriate version of the unpack for your version of SourceOne. Unless they post it to you, usage of it is entirely at risk and if you use a non-sourced version, ANY issue you have is entirely up to you from that point forward. I would not recommend you do this any other way than to get a version officially from support.
