4700 - Clone drive using Western Digital Data Lifeguard tool?

Hello,

If I want to clone my existing 4700 Drive (WD1600JD - 160Gig) to a new Western Digital 320 Gig Drive (WD3200JS), will I be able to use the Data Lifeguard tool to clone it exactly?
Or, will this tool not work because of the hidden partitions (Diagnostic, etc)?

Thanks.

It will work fine if you clone the entire physical drive.

Thanks for the replies.
My main concern is that the cloned drive would be bootable just as the primary one, and that the Diagnostic partition would be intact and the partition sizes will be correct. It's been a while since I've cloned a drive, since usually, I just reformat and reinstall Windows fresh.
It will be a while before I do the cloning, since I plan on testing the drive out as a slave to make sure it doesn't have any errors/issues before I clone. Hard drives are usually the most buggy things that we have to deal with since there are so many moving parts at high speeds/frequency.

This depends on how good the software is but clone usually means all partitions and data. Clone= exact duplicate. Give it a try what can you lose but time.

I use this software, not free but the best I have found. More complex but more options too.
