CD/DVD Drives
Hi
My cd burner has stopped working on my Dell Dimension E520. Windows Media player has the E. drive listed, but Roxio says no drive listed. I did the Mr. Fix it from Microsoft and it says i don't have a cd burner. I have Windows xp Home. My D drive will play cd's and video's. I can rip music, but cannot burn cd's or video anymore. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the DVD drive failed and you need to replace it. Luckily the drives are cheap, SATA DVD burners can be purchased for 18/20$ from:

Thanks. I wanted to make sure it was dead before i replaced it. I have ordered from Newegg before. Thanks for the link.
