CD-RW/DVD-ROM (P/N 8W007-A01)
I have a DVD that is labeled as NTSC 1, but when I attempt to play the DVD with Power DVD, i get an error. There error reads "Please insert a disc for the proper region". I know that the NTSC 1 region is for the US. When I browse to the DVD using the same drive (as mentioned in the title) I can click on a file and Windows Media Player will play the DVD. I did a search to see if there were updated drivers or a software update for Power DVD. I did not find either. Any ideas?

Hi Mdofat,
Double check that the Region Code for the drive is actually set on 1. Also you may need to try uninstalling / reinstalling PowerDVD, something may have corrupted a needed file.
Best Regards

the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
