Constellation ES.2 3TB SAS Not detected properly
Hi.
I have a Dell branded Seagate Constellation ES.2 3TB SAS drive.
It is detected by the SAS controller (H310) but shows no capacity (0TB) and fails tests.
If i enter windows it shows the drive as offline (fails initialization).
I have tried flashing new firmware and this also fails.
Anyone know if it is possible to force a firmware flash using the Dell firmware update? (it fails with invalid image error) even though the image is the correct one.
Thanks
BritGuy

Hi Britguy,
Please Google SeaTools. I would use that to check your HDD for problems.

Install a drive at or below 2T on the controller and then try updating the PERC firmware.

If the update won't run with a sub-2.0G drive attached, the controller is likely bad.
