D500 and HL-DT-ST Unable to READ DVD-R
I have a D500 with the HL-DT-ST GCC-4241N drive. I am unable to read DVD-R disc I created using a Sony DVD-R writer. If I take this same DVD, it has no problems playing in a regular DVD player.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.
Your drive may only read DVD+R disks.

GCC-4241N should be able to read DVD-R discs. Have you tried using different brand of DVD-R disc? Try using a good branded DVD-R disc like Mitsubishi/Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.

I have tried Fuji DVD-R and Sony DVD-R. The Drive producing these DVD's is the Sony 530, it is an external unit that burns DVD+/-RW and DVD+/-R
