DOS driver for the LiteOn SATA CD drive in an Optiplex 745
Has anyone found a CD-ROM.sys (or whatever) file that works for these drives?
The good ol' NEC_IDE.SYS no longer works, I have to assume because the drive is no longer NEC nor IDE. Drivers.com and those places don't seem to have very much available from 2003 on - unless I am using the wrong search terms...

Microsoft also allows Downgrade Rights so technically they do still licence dos.
There are also other DOS types like IBM DOS7 and DR DOS and a few others.
Ghost definitely works with MSDOS and IBM DOS.
Ghost32 works with 2000/XP
Corporate versions of ghost also do over the network installs and imaging.

If you want to multiple boot operating systems, install the operating systems in the following order:
2. Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me
3. Windows NT
4. Windows 2000
5. Windows XP
• Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me
• Windows NT
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
2. Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it.
3. On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format.
4. Under Format options, click Create an MS-DOS startup disk.
5. Click Start.
Windows NT Had a Newtork Client Tool that specifically was for making MSDOS
network startup disks.
1. Create a folder called C:\Ncadmin.
2. Copy the following files from the I386 folder on the Windows NT Server 4.0 CD-ROM to the folder you created:
Ncadmin.cn_
Ncadmin.ex_
Ncadmin.hl_
NOTE: You may need the CDROM letter:\Clients folder from the Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM.
command: expand -r ncadmin.*
4. Double-click Ncadmin.exe, and then follow the instructions for creating a Network Installation Startup Disk.
