DVD Drive not Detected. Please help me.

Hi. Please help me, my laptop can't detect the DVD drive. On the device manager, it says that Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). The missing drivers are:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\pxHelp20.sys

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\DRVMCDB.sys

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\DLACDBHM.sys

I have Roxio Creator DE 10.1 currently installed in my laptop. And I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate, Dell XPS M1530.

I really need your help. I've already searched for solutions and I'm afraid to Delete the Upper and Lower Filters. Is there any other solutions? Thanks in advance for those who are willing to help. :)

Hi, Skybird! Thanks for your post! :) Another question, do I need to Back it up first before I edit the registers?

Back-up is not required.  If you have a burning
problem after the Filter removal procedure, you
may need to reinstall the burning software.
