Dell Inspiron N5010 and Samsung SSD 850 EVO
Hi,
Are these 2 incompatible? Besides reading that physically they be mismatching, on my laptop the BIOS recognizes the Samsung 850 EVO but other that it is unusable: Win 7 Setup simply gets stuck. DISKPART gets stuck. When I tried to install on another machine and put the SSD back in the laptop, Win7 starts to load but gives a blue screen after several seconds.
Any idea?

Hi,
The original HDDs available on the N5010 were all SATA II drives at the 3 Gbps speeds, and the tech sheet for the 850 EVO states its compatible with SATA 3Gbps form factors, so I would think the drive will work. You may want to check the Samsung support pages for that drive and see if someone there has more information for you.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
