Diskette Drive 0 seek failure
I get this message every time I log on. I have to press F1 and enter my password before I can boot. Any idea why?

I get this message every time I log on. I have to press F1 and enter my password before I can boot. Any idea why?

Hi Davidrasch,
This usually happens when the motherboard battery fails. The BIOS defaults are reset, and this enables the floppy controller. What you need to do after you replace the battery is boot to the BIOS (F2) and set up your drives and other options.
