Does Dimension 4600 Support NCQ?
I was thinking of upgrading the hard drive in my Dimension 4600. I know the mobo has two SATA ports. But, what about NCQ support? I was thinking of going with a Seagate 120GB with NCQ. Of course, it makes no sense to do so if the system doesn't recognize it. Thank you.

I belive the 4600 uses the 865PE Chipset. According to the below article from Intel, this MB would not support it. Also all of this info was easily found searching www.google.com
Note: In order to take advantage of NCQ, you need: Intel® 915, 910, or Intel® 925X Express Chipset (ICH6R) OR Mobile Intel 915 or 910 Express Chipset, Intel® Application Accelerator version 4.0 or later, and a hard drive which supports NCQ.
