Driver for TSST Corp DVD+-RW TS-L532B

Dell has finally posted this firmware update to deal with the readablility problems of the TS-L532B (of course, not letting anyone know in this forum).  I don't trust Dell upgrades, call me cynical.  I don't trust any company that expects me to call India for help when they can't even include the necessary driver disks with my purchase (now that's VERY helpful!)  Has anyone tried this "upgrade" and has the system crashed yet?
